STEP 8 - CIRCULATORY SUPPORT

broken image

If you have ever taken anatomy and physiology, this would be the part of the class where the professor demands that you tell him all you know about the cardiovascular system, and where you begin to realize that “all you know” is not nearly enough!

But never fear—using Essential Oils for cardiovascular and circulatory health is so much easier than understanding the intricacies of the body.

So, here is what we need to know.

The body, especially during physical activity, needs oxygen and nutrients to be carried to cells. It also needs the removal of carbon dioxide and waste. This is all done through a complex system of arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins. And it involves many organs, such as the heart and the lungs.

These oxygen rich blood cells also carry Essential Oils throughout the body, which is why, when you use an Essential Oil for one specific use, you also get many BENEFITS in other areas of your body.

To take one example, you may apply Peppermint for energy, but then you also experience less head tension, an ease of digestive discomfort, or even a decrease in cravings for sweets.

To support healthy circulation and invigorate your senses massage the AROMATOUCH BLEND, PEPPERMINT, LEMONGRASS, MARJORAM, or CYPRESS into your legs.

Derived from the branches of the tall evergreen tree, CYPRESS Essential Oil has a fresh, clean aroma that’s energizing and refreshing. It’s frequently used in spas and by massage therapists.

CYPRESS can be diffused or inhaled directly, but should not be swallowed or taken internally. CYPRESS contains monoterpenes, making it beneficial for oily skin conditions. It has a grounding, yet stimulating effect on the emotions, making it a popular oil to diffuse during times of transition or loss.
